Responsible Gaming at Nuatar

Gaming on Nuatar is meant to be fun — a form of entertainment, not a way to make money or escape problems. We take responsible gaming seriously, and we've built real tools into the platform to help every Filipino member stay in control of their play.

21+ MINIMUM AGE REQUIRED
FOR ALL REAL-MONEY PLAY
Nuatar enforces a strict 21-year minimum age in line with Philippine gaming regulations. No exceptions.
■ Our Commitment

Gaming Should Always
Stay In Your Control

At Nuatar, responsible gaming isn't just a checkbox — it's built into how the platform works. From the moment you register, you have access to tools that let you set your own limits, take breaks, and step away entirely if you need to. No friction, no judgment.

We know that for most of our members — whether you're in Makati, Cebu, Davao, or Quezon City — gaming is a leisure activity, something you do to unwind after a long week. That's exactly what it should be. The moment it starts feeling like an obligation or a source of stress, that's the signal to use the tools we've prepared for you.

Nuatar's responsible gaming framework covers age verification, deposit limits, session controls, cooling-off periods, and full self-exclusion. All of these are accessible directly from your member dashboard — no need to contact support to activate them.

⚠ Important Reminder

Gambling involves real money and real risk. Past wins do not guarantee future results. Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose — rent, bills, tuition, and daily expenses always come first. If you are using gambling to cope with stress, debt, or emotional problems, please use our self-exclusion tool and seek support immediately.

■ Player Protection Tools

Nuatar Responsible Gaming Tools

Every tool below is available directly from your Nuatar member dashboard. You don't need to call anyone or wait for approval — activate them yourself, anytime.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your Nuatar account. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately; increasing it requires a 24-hour cooling period.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration so the platform automatically reminds you — or logs you out — when your play time is up. Whether it's 30 minutes or 3 hours, you decide how long each gaming session lasts. A great way to keep gaming from eating into your day.

Cooling-Off Periods

Need a short break? Activate a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During this time your account is temporarily suspended for real-money gaming. Your balance is safe and your account remains intact — you just can't place wagers until the period ends.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel your gaming is getting out of hand, self-exclusion is the strongest tool available. You can exclude yourself for 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanently. Self-exclusion takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed during the chosen period — no exceptions.

Loss Limits

Set a cap on how much you're willing to lose in a given period. Once your net losses reach the limit you've set, Nuatar will prevent further wagering until the period resets. This tool is especially useful for members who want a hard financial boundary on their gaming activity.

Reality Checks

Enable periodic on-screen reminders that show you how long you've been playing and how much you've wagered in the current session. Reality checks pop up at intervals you choose — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes — giving you a clear picture of your session before you decide to continue or stop.

■ Self-Assessment

Are You Gaming Responsibly?

Answer these questions honestly. If you find yourself saying "yes" to three or more, it may be time to use one of Nuatar's responsible gaming tools or speak to a professional counsellor.

■ Check Yourself — Answer Honestly

01 Do you spend more money on gaming than you originally planned to?
02 Have you ever borrowed money or sold something to fund your gaming activity?
03 Do you find yourself chasing losses — betting more to try to win back what you've lost?
04 Has gaming started to affect your relationships with family, friends, or your work performance?
05 Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you try to cut down or stop gaming?
06 Have you tried to stop or reduce your gaming before, but found it difficult to follow through?
07 Do you use gaming as a way to escape stress, problems, or negative emotions?
08 Have you hidden your gaming activity or the amount you've spent from people close to you?

This self-assessment is for informational purposes only and is not a clinical diagnostic tool. If you are concerned about your gaming behaviour, please activate Nuatar's self-exclusion feature and consider reaching out to a professional support service.

■ Know the Signs

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually. Knowing the warning signs early gives you — and the people around you — the best chance to address it before it causes serious harm.

  • Spending more than you can afford on gaming, including money set aside for rent, bills, or groceries
  • Borrowing money from family, friends, or through loans to fund gaming activity
  • Selling personal belongings to get money for gaming
  • Accumulating debt that is directly or indirectly related to gambling
  • Hiding bank statements, GCash transaction history, or gaming receipts from family members

  • Spending increasing amounts of time gaming, often at the expense of family time, work, or sleep
  • Becoming secretive or defensive when asked about gaming habits
  • Neglecting responsibilities at home, school, or work because of gaming
  • Withdrawing from social activities and relationships that were previously important
  • Lying to family members about how much time or money is spent on gaming

  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not gaming or when trying to cut back
  • Using gaming as a primary way to cope with stress, loneliness, boredom, or emotional pain
  • Feeling a persistent need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to get the same level of excitement
  • Experiencing guilt or shame after gaming sessions, but continuing to play anyway
  • Preoccupation with gaming — constantly thinking about the next session, replaying past wins and losses

  • Returning to gaming shortly after a loss with the intention of winning back what was lost
  • Increasing bet sizes after a losing streak in an attempt to recover losses quickly
  • Believing that a "big win" is just around the corner and continuing to play despite mounting losses
  • Setting a loss limit for a session but consistently exceeding it
  • Feeling unable to walk away from a session even when you intended to stop
■ Get Help

Support Resources for Filipino Players

If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, help is available. The following organisations provide confidential support and counselling services in the Philippines. Nuatar encourages all members to reach out if they need assistance.

PAGCOR Responsible Gaming

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) maintains a responsible gaming programme for all licensed gaming operators in the Philippines. PAGCOR's framework includes player protection standards, self-exclusion registries, and operator compliance requirements. Members may contact PAGCOR directly to register for the national self-exclusion programme.

National Center for Mental Health

The NCMH provides mental health services across the Philippines, including counselling for behavioural addictions such as problem gambling. Their crisis hotline is available to anyone experiencing mental health difficulties related to gambling or other issues. Services are available in Filipino and English.

Nuatar Support Team

Nuatar's support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via live chat on the platform. If you want to activate self-exclusion, set limits, or simply talk to someone about your gaming habits, our team is here to help — no judgment, no pressure. Your wellbeing comes before your account activity.

■ A Note on PAGCOR Self-Exclusion

PAGCOR operates a national self-exclusion registry that applies across all PAGCOR-licensed gaming venues and platforms in the Philippines. If you register for PAGCOR's self-exclusion programme, Nuatar is required to honour that exclusion and will suspend your account accordingly.

Nuatar's own self-exclusion tool operates independently of the PAGCOR registry. For the broadest protection, we recommend using both Nuatar's built-in self-exclusion and registering with PAGCOR's national programme. Contact Nuatar support for guidance on how to do this.

■ Play Smart

Tips for Healthy Gaming

Most Nuatar members enjoy gaming without any issues. These simple habits help keep it that way — whether you're playing 3-Hand Casino Hold'em on a Friday night or spinning Midas Fortune on your lunch break.

Set a budget before you start

Decide how much you're comfortable spending before you open the app. Treat it like a night out — once the budget is gone, the session is over.

Never chase your losses

A losing session happens to everyone. Chasing losses by betting more rarely works and usually makes things worse. Accept the loss and come back another day.

Keep gaming separate from finances

Only use money that is genuinely discretionary. Your GCash balance for bills, your BDO savings, and your BPI emergency fund are off-limits for gaming.

Take regular breaks

Use Nuatar's session time limit and reality check features to remind yourself to step away. A short break helps you stay clear-headed and in control of your decisions.

Don't play when you're emotional

Stress, anger, sadness, or even extreme excitement can cloud your judgment. Gaming is best enjoyed when you're relaxed and thinking clearly — not as an emotional outlet.

Talk to someone you trust

If you're worried about your gaming habits, talk to a family member, a close friend, or a professional. Keeping it to yourself makes it harder to address. There's no shame in asking for help.
